A view of South Bristol village from the mainland, ca. 1910
Contributed by South Bristol Historical SocietyDescription
This postcard shows the view looking south along a very muddy road, now State Route 129, on the mainland toward South Bristol village. The long building in the distance was a bowling alley. Other commercial buildings are on both sides of the board and bridge. The scribbled message reads: “Dear Wayne, This is one of our many fine auto roads. I’m sorry we didn’t bring ours. Write soon, (illegible)”.
